SOCIAL MEDIA SUBMISSION POLICY:

By sharing a photo, video, or other media (“Materials”) with the AVMA Trust, you are authorizing the AVMA Trust and its entities, including AVMA PLIT and AVMA LIFE, to utilize the Materials on any or all of the following: social media accounts belonging to the AVMA Trust; in print and digital marketing materials created on behalf of the AVMA Trust; and in advertisements created and paid for by the AVMA Trust. By submitting Materials, you are agreeing to the following:

I acknowledge that there is no guarantee that any of the submitted Materials will be used at all or in the ways listed above. I agree that the AVMA Trust may, in its sole discretion, decide if Materials will be reposted or repurposed and can do so without notifying me. The AVMA Trust will never share the submitter’s name, veterinary school, graduation year, or practice name without the express consent of the submitter. The AVMA Trust will never share a submitter’s email or phone number or other forms of contact. The AVMA Trust will only divulge a submitter’s Instagram handle if (a) their Material is shared on the AVMA Trust’s social media account and (b) if the submitter consents to be tagged. I further acknowledge and agree that the AVMA Trust may remove any Materials or cease use of any Materials in its discretion without notice to me and that I will not receive any monetary compensation for any use of Materials by AVMA Trust.

 

Photographic Guidelines:

Regarding production animals: The AVMA Trust is unable to share photos that contain livestock patients with identifying tags. All brands, serial numbers, and any other form of identification must be digitally removed or blurred prior to submitting to the AVMA Trust for consideration.

Regarding owner consent: Additionally, permission must be obtained from the patients’ owners prior to submitting a photo of said animal undergoing treatment or in recovery. When asking for owner permission, it must be divulged that the photo will potentially be used in any or all of the following: social media accounts belonging to the AVMA Trust; in print and digital marketing materials created on behalf of the Trust; and in advertisements created and paid for by the AVMA Trust. By sharing a photo, video, or other media (“Materials”) with the AVMA Trust, I am authorizing the AVMA Trust and its entities, including AVMA PLIT and AVMA LIFE, to utilize the Materials on any or all of the following: social media accounts belonging to the AVMA Trust; in print and digital marketing materials created on behalf of the AVMA Trust; and in advertisements created and paid for by the AVMA Trust.
